The Rose Huffman Scholarship Fund

The Rose Huffman Scholarship Fund was established to honor the legacy and impact Rose Huffman had on our school and our community.  Helping and providing opportunities for others was a cause Rose believed in and lived by.  She served as FPI president for 3 of her 4 years with us and continued to promote and support our school every year!
Rose will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and giving spirit. FPI would like to honor her by offering scholarships to eligible families.

About the scholarship

Fredericksburg Cooperative Preschool understands that the expense of preschool can strain a family’s budget. Helping eligible families reduce their costs through scholarships is an important part of our program. We strive to keep our tuition as low as possible while continuing to provide a high-quality preschool program. Our scholarship funds are donated by our current and alumni membership families.

Scholarships will be awarded based on need and may provide between 25% - 100% of the total tuition cost. The family is responsible for providing the remaining tuition, due on the dates outlined in the preschool parent handbook. The family is also responsible for full participation in the cooperative community. Applications are received by the preschool director, who will then submit anonymous versions of the application to the preschool scholarship board for review. This review board is composed of Alumni Families and will contain no current members to respect the anonymity of our membership families.
